New wage subsidies are a key component of the Government’s new jobactive PaTH Program, which will be fully rolled out in April assisting up to 120,000 vulnerable young Australians through pre-employment training and internships.
Mr Keenan said financial incentives of up to $10,000 are available for Stirling businesses to employ new staff.
“There is no higher priority for our community and for the Government than creating local jobs, Mr Keenan said.
“That means not only growing our economy, but also helping our young people become job ready.
“I strongly encourage Stirling’s local business owners to take advantage of this program, to hire more staff and grow their business.”
Features of the new PaTH Program include internships lasting four to 12 weeks providing young job seekers with valuable work experience in a workplace. Participating interns will also receive up to $200 per fortnight in addition to their fortnightly welfare payment.
