attended the North Beach RSL Sub-Branch Remembrance Day service and plaque
unveiling. It was a moving ceremony to observe that on the 11th day of the 11th
month of the 11th hour in 1918 the guns on the Western Front fell silent,
signaling the end of the Fist World War.
Day is commemorated by many Australians who stop to reflect on the sacrifices
made by Australian servicemen and women in defence of our nation, our values
and our traditions.

lives fighting for our freedom in both world wars, in all theaters of war and
continue to keep their memory alive and educate the next generation about their
